measure of flux; one maggie has an AB magnitude of 0 (thus a surface
brightness of 20 mag/square arcsec corresponds to 10-8 maggies
per square arcsec). This unit is used for object radial profiles , where we provide the azimuthally averaged object surface brightness in a series of annuli.
